Her Fisher Price 2 in 1 walker

It was her first walk with her FP walker.. practice makes perfect huh?!! Please ignore all the mess around our family hall, you know how messy it was in our rented house.. urrghh.. so please do ignore ye!!

Poor Daddy...:(

It was Sunday morning when Angah and we have decided to go to Bukit Belacan for picnic. My mom has cooked nasi lemak for us, luckily she had time to do that since she has 3 daughters who was really not real good cook.. hehehe.. That was our 1st time took Sophie out to picnic to this kind of place, meaning despite of org2 tua advice, that is not good to bring baby to the beach, sungai2 yg dekat dgn hutan.. etc..etc..

Picnic was amusing with Sophie was so excited yet feel cold which her lips became blue and pale. I thought she couldn’t take the coldness of the water but yet she still do not gave up. I was the one who worried that she could get cold and fever.

The next day, her daddy was not feeling well and he’s getting worst. His temp was high to 40 deg C which I believed there was not a normal fever. I took him to the nearest hospital, SJMC, and they took his blood for dengue analysis. He had no clue on this; there are no symptoms but only the fever. Her daddy had 2-day MC and the result has came up and confirmed he had a dengue fever. Apart of the bad experience in SJMC’s management, everything went good enough for him to recover after 1 week and ½ . Alhamdulillah.. Thanks to Angah and Yusliza for visiting us. Sophie said thanks to her aunts and Fariz.

Two weeks after that we went to Terengganu for a vacation cum his fren’s wedding. Sophie’s daddy has booked Awana Kijal for a vacation that we really had fun in there. Sophie as usual very excited in the pool, where we couldn’t handle her enthusiasms on ‘swimming’ talent.

Bkt Belacan picnic.. note that Sophie was shaking cz it was so cold

Yet she still couldn't wait to get in the water

Party buih with mummy.. see.. Sophie wanted to taste the bubbles

@Awana Kijal, swimming lesson with daddy.. push..and kick..

Sophie @ 8 months

Sophie had growing so fast. During her 8-month-old, she managed to cruise around and holding onto furniture for support. She’s so mobile while she has started crawling when she was 7-month-old. I have her full breastfeeding till her 6-month-old and she started to eat her solid food soon after that. She’s still not used to formula milk but as my milk supply was decreasing, she had to get used to it. I was sorry for her but I was always trying my best to accommodate her needs.

Her exciting development included the babble, which she would say the same syllable repeated over and over again. She loves birds.. she knew how to said bird eventho she only like 8-month-old. My hubby and I bought lots of toy and books for her. We try to educate her as best as we could since we have just limited time with her during weekdays, that was the least thing we could do.

Sophie experienced her very first solid food

She loved experimenting so much with her both hands, that I didn’t have clue which hand she inclined to. I have heard that handedness does not usually become obvious, not until her 9 months. But then, I believe little ones tend to be ambidextrous, and maybe until they start school. Oh ya.. she also has started her ‘swimming class’ with her mom and dad when she was 5-month-old where we had a career talk in INSTEP, Terengganu. I’ve bought her very first bikini and glad she loves been in the pool.

Her first swimming lesson

I noticed Sophie also became more assertive and expressed her likes and dislikes. Whenever I tried to put aside her toys, she would object and get her toys right away. Sophie is inclined to dislike everyone else, in fact she would also preferred me rather her daddy. In other words, Sophie started being so clingy and showed extreme attachment to me, which I kind of like this ‘separation anxiety’ but sometime it worst when I couldn’t do anything else not even to take a pee.. see my point? Hehehe…

O yeah.. Sophie's baby teeth starts coming in

This video was when she actively started to crawl...

Sophie's very first EID

We spent first few days in Pantai Remis as this is Hubby's turn to celebrate Eid first with his families. Sophie had fun with cousins, have seen some fireworks, enjoyed kutip duit raya..

Sophie felt asleep all the way from her Opah’s home to Melaka. Normally, we will celebrate Eid at my granny’s home in Malacca. Since we are all live in KL except my 3rd sister, we know that Eid in Malacca much more enjoyable rather to stay and celebrate it in KL. We have lots of family in here plus it is quite pleasant to be around little cousins, aunts and uncles.

Last time we had ‘cukur jambul’ for Sophie placed in PR so we have decided her Aqiqah wil be held in Malacca during this Eid. When we arrived, her aunts, Mak Long, Mak Ngah, n Mak Lang were really excited to see her with her lovely baju kurung we’ve bought at PJ. She’s real cute on that.

We spent time in her Nek Zizah’s and my granny’s house, she was entertain by her little fans, such her cousin, Aiman, Amer, Alisa, Akiff, Haikal, Hakim and Ariff. Yeah.. all of them sound similar which we always have problem to identify each of them. Apa la mama diorg ni… hehhe.. soon after that, her Granny said the ‘qurban’ (goat) has been arrived and will be located at Uncle Udin’s house. We were going to have a look and it was quite a big and pretty goat. This talented uncle Udin also has decorated the swing for Sophie, I would say it was really beautiful swing I’ve ever seen in my life. Well, yes.. she has no reason putting her on that swing but that’s the only deco for Aqiqah ceremony. She’s not used to be on the swing since we taught her to be sleep on her cot itself.

Sophie enjoyed entertain by her cousins and her grandpa

Aqiqah was fine, the event was totally awesome with the helps from my families, and Sophie was stunned with her lovely swing. She got lots of duit raya, some token from the event itself and some of it from her aunts and uncles, and from our colleagues. The total? I think she was getting so much than I had when I was younger – RM1200 ++. Well started for her savings now.

Ramadhan 2008

I know it’s been awhile, but since we had no access through internet and our office has blocked the blogspot, I kept all my writings in my Macbook till now, after Hubby subscribed Celcom broadband; it’s pleasure to share with u all about Sophie from Ramadhan till now.We had a few ‘berbuka puasa’ invitation from service provider during that fasting month. 2 of it we came with Sophie and ooohhh the other was the treat from Aswad, my fellow Geo mate during Uni time. My friends said he’s making lots of money right now working as freelance geologist, which we are happy for him, at least there are some of us real succeed as a geologist. Sophie was 7-month-old that time. She was happy, yet sleepy. We were lucky she didn’t moody or crying, been sleeping on her Aunt Sara shoulder approving the comfort of her Aunt’s shoulder… hehehe..

So, that event was in Singgahsana Hotel, and Western Geco invited us in Mandarin Oriental. We had to get back home, dressed Sophie up and.. wallahhhh.. we arrived Mandarin right before Athan. Alhamdulillah, we managed to berbuka with Sophie and some of our fellow colleagues. Again she had a good mood, smiled, and reacts to people who were trying to play with her. She responded as she knew them for quite sometime and perhaps she had a great time with us and our friends out there.

May, we’ve got lots of event on May. One of the most important events is our Anniversary. It was on May 17th, which our aqad has took place. I was touched when I browsed through the aqad and honeymoon picture and praying for our happiness till end of our life. Hubby has booked Air Asia tickets flight to Langkawi for our anniversary and it was real fun with Sophie came along together. It was the first time we took Sophie fly.

Hye.. morning! I'm going to Langkawi...:)

Langkawi - Awana Hotel, Harbour, and i love the cable car!

I’ve been searching for the information about the safety and tips for baby to fly. We’ve been there for 3 days, Sophie was restless, I could see her can’t cope with the trips and lots of places was quite restricted. Nevertheless, it was really a wonderful trip even for the 1st time we had to deal with Sophie’s 2 hours crankiness that was worth our time.

hmm.. boring la mama.. xdpt swimming. Urghh!! what is that??

Lots of wedding on May and unfortunately 2 weddings were held at the time. These wedding are my cousin’s and our colleague’s. As the colleague is a good friend of ours, and they went to both of our aqad and reception, thus we’ve decided that we have to go both wedding. 2 days before the wedding, my aunts and cousins were here gathered at my Angah’s house.

Our cousin's wedding at KJ and colleague's at Danau Kota

We also did not miss the occasion to gather around with them. It was an exciting time for Sophie when she was trying to recognize people and started to respond in many ways. There were Alisa and Akif (Angah’s children) constantly kissing and hugging Sophie. Alisa would say “She is so cute Mak Tam… why Sophie is so cute?” and I smiled. Akif is one of my nephews and I must say he is really lovable. I still remember when I was still pregnant; he will always clingy unless his mom called him. And I would still remember how he was crying when the times we had to go home after visiting them.

da..da...da... Pekaboo by Mak Ngah and Abg Akif

As for Sophie, she loves looking with curiosity, to whatever she saw including her reflection. When she saw people around her, she would look at them with her bright eyes as if she already seen them before. Now, she actively rolls and sometime she will be automatically turned effortlessly. Akif was one of the babysitter when I was busy hanging around with my sisters and aunts. He took his toys to attract and distract her from crying. One of the charming of him is when he took one of his Fisher Price Lil’ Laugh & Learn Discovery Gym and he said to Sophie “Look Sophie, abang Akif give” … isn’t it so CUTTTEEEEE??? Angah and I look at each other and said the very same word “abang”… hehehehe…
